The purpose of this document is to provide you with information about the processing of personal data at DNAmeter s.r.o. and your rights associated with it ("Terms").

We always process your personal data transparently, fairly and in accordance with the law, to the extent necessary for the relevant purpose. We keep your personal data securely for the necessary period of time, according to the time limits imposed by law and regulation.

We declare that we have taken all appropriate technical and organisational measures to ensure the security of personal data appropriate to the risk involved.

DNAmeter s.r.o. is not obliged to appoint a data protection officer. Categories of personal data

DNAmeter s.r.o. processes the following categories of personal data:

  • identifying information: such as first name, last name,

  • contact details: address, telephone number, e-mail

  • information about whether you have subscribed to the newsletter

  • information about your preferences and behaviour on the website

  • payment details

  • Sensitive data: information about your DNA, information about your racial or ethnic origin, and health data (lab results, medical records, genetic data and similar sensitive health information)

  • any other information you choose to share with us

 

We process this personal data on the basis of your explicit consent by providing us with the data yourself. The data can be provided by creating an account on the DNAmeter s.r.o..com website, ordering goods from our e-shop, subscribing to our newsletter. Sensitive data is always processed only with your explicit consent. This consent can be revoked at any time.

 If you provide a biological sample after purchasing the service (test), the analysis of the sample will be carried out at the IAB Institute - Institute of Applied Biotechnologies (hereinafter referred to as "IAB"), a laboratory located at the Scientific and Technical Park of Palacký University in Olomouc, Šlechtitelů 21 (Building C), 783 71 Olomouc, which processes personal data only in accordance with these terms and conditions.

 

Purposes and legal basis for the processing of personal data

Personal data are processed to the extent that the relevant data subject has provided them, in particular in connection with the conclusion of a contractual or other legal relationship with the Controller, or which the Controller has otherwise collected and processes them in accordance with applicable law or to fulfil the Controller's legal obligations.

On the basis of your consent, DNAmeter s.r.o. also processes your e-mail address for the purpose of sending advertising communications and newsletters. You can withdraw your consent at any time by sending an email with your statement to podpora@DNAmeter.com

 

Methods of data processing

Your personal data will be processed manually and electronically, based on our legal obligations to the extent and in the manner provided by law.

 

Period of processing and storage of personal data

Your personal data will be processed for the strictly necessary period of time to provide the requested service; whenever you activate your personal account on the website, your personal data will be processed until your account is cancelled. Your data will be retained for the following 5 years to comply with legal obligations and protect the rights of DNAmeter Ltd.

 

Third parties

Your personal data will not be shared with any third party except in the following situations:

  • the data is necessary for the provision of DNAmeter s.r.o. services;

  • on the basis of your consent;

  • entrusting personal data to Processors who process personal data on behalf of DNAmeter s.r.o.;

  • DNAmeter s.r.o. is obliged to provide personal data on the basis of the law or on the order of a public authority.

 

Biological samples are processed in the IAB laboratory for DNA analysis.

The IAB is governed by the GDPR and these terms and conditions.

 

Transfer of personal data to countries outside the European Economic Area

Your personal data is not transferred to countries outside the EU or the European Economic Area.

Legal rights when processing your personal data:

  • Right of access to personal data - Your right to request an extract of the personal data we hold about you.

  • Right to data portability - Your right to receive personal data relating to you that you have provided to us in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format.

  • The right to erasure of personal data (right to be forgotten) - Your right to request the erasure of your personal data without undue delay if any of the grounds provided for by law are fulfilled.

  • Right to rectification of personal data - Your right to request the rectification of your inaccurate personal data without undue delay, or their completion.

  • Right to restriction of processing - Your right to request restriction of the processing of your personal data for the reasons set out in the legislation.

  • Right to object - If we process your personal data based on the legitimate interest of the Controller, you have the right to object.

  • Right to lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority - Your right to lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority (Office for Personal Data Protection, www.uoou.cz) if you believe that the processing of your personal data has violated the rules of data protection.

Final provisions

Our Website, Services and Portal are not directed to persons under the age of eighteen (18). If you are under the age of eighteen, please do not provide your personal information to DNAmeter Ltd.
